Bogus Callers

On 16/12/2013 at about 17:00 hours an elderly resident of Hallcroft Retford Notts was visited by a white male aged in his twenties asking for entry to her property,so that he could turn her water off. He stated that he was working on the property up the road and was fitting a new bathroom suite, and needed to turn her water off, otherwise this would cause the property to flood. The resident refused entry and the male went on his way.

We would ask all residents to be vigilant and not allow any unexpected callers into their properties. if in doubt, do not answer the door and ring for help.
