The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have issued a consultation on proposals to reform the procedure for gaining underground access to oil or gas deposits and geothermal energy. The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) are keen to hear your views on the proposals regarding a right of underground access, a payment in return for a right of access and a notification system for the community. They have issued a Policy Consultation document outlining their views and would like your feedback and comments.
