They are sorry that this decision will leave the village without a shop, but point out that retailing situation has changed drastically over a past number of years and it is no longer viable to remain open. Mark and Jane would like to thank all customers and friends for their loyal support over the last 20 Years.
The store will close its doors for the final time at the end of business on Saturday 14th November 2015.
YARD SALE & CAR BOOT: The Yard and car boot sale went ahead as scheduled, last Sunday, with plenty of items for sale on the day. Five car booters also made the effort. Despite the good weather, a lesser number than in previous times were present. Those who attended were, mostly visitors, villagers were conspicuous by their absence, baring a few. The event did make money and a total sum (to be announced) will be destined for much needed Village Hall funds
Thanks to all who assisted in any way.
STREET LIGHTING: Street lamps in the village which have been out of action for some time have now been repaired and appear to be working normally thanks to the efforts of the Parish Council.

Nineteen members were present during the evening and Vice president Fiona Pagdin took the chair in the absence of President Jackie Payne. The speaker for the evening was Meryl White, who addressed the members on the subject of Grandma Abson’s Traditional Baking.
