ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: A “Family Service” will take place at the local church on Sunday 17th January. Please come along and bring the family.

The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

BURNS NIGHT: A few tickets are now available for this popular event, which will take place on Saturday 23rd January 2016 at 7:30pm in Sutton Village Hall.

WHEELIE BIN ROTA: Any confusion over wheelie bin rotas over the holiday period can now be put to rest. As from next Monday 18th January collection days for this area will revert back to normal times as previously notified by Bassetlaw District Council.

SUTTON PARISH COUNCIL: The council met on Wednesday 13th January 2016 in the Village Hall at the usual time of 7:00pm. A report will follow later.

SUTTON GARDENING CLUB: The club met at the Gate Inn on Tuesday 5th January 2016 at 7:15pm for the first meeting of the New Year. This was a social event with 22 members present still in the festive mood and intent on enjoying what the club offers and looking forward to forthcoming events. Those present socialised for the evening and the usual raffle took place.

The groups’ next meeting scheduled for Tuesday 2nd February will be back at Sutton Village Hall, when local gardening expert John Stirland will advise on understanding seeds, fertilizers and manure.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: The Neighbours Group met as arranged on Tuesday 12th January at the Gate Inn at 1:00pm.and a report will follow.

SUTTON APRIL CLUB: The April club continue to meet every two weeks in the village and full details are available from Group Leader and organiser Carole Head on (01777) 705 077.

PARISH COUNCIL: The Parish Council normally meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Village Hall. There is a public participation period and all residents are welcome to attend.
