ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: At the local church on Sunday 21st February
a family service will take place. Please come along and bring the family.

The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

VILLAGE WELCOME PACK: Sutton cum Lound Parish Council has produced a Welcome Pack with which to welcome new residents to the village. All households should receive a copy in the very near future. We hope you will keep it safe and find that the information it contains to be useful.

If you really do not wish to keep your copy please leave it in the entrance foyer of the Village Hall or drop it off to a member of the bar staff in the Gate Inn.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to its production.

SUTTON GARDENING CLUB: There was a good turnout on 2nd February for John Stirland’s talk on ‘Understanding seeds, fertilisers and manures’. A very interesting and informative talk it turned out to be. Some of us have been gardening in ignorance for decades and have already been making new purchases – shops as well as garden centres are already well stocked with all you need for the new season, and winter has barely shown itself.

The next talk on ‘Roses and Clematis’ by Stuart Dixon is on Tuesday 1st March.

SUTTON ART GROUP: On Friday 12th February, Sutton Art Group enjoyed a workshop with Andrew Geeson on loose watercolour painting. This was a very informative and entertaining session and gave members a chance to try out a different way of painting.
