Devolution: have your say on the future of our region
A public consultation on devolution proposals for Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire Derby, and Nottingham is open until 9th January 2023.
The consultation is asking for the views of everyone in the area on devolution plans, which would bring in more funding to our region – £1.14 billion – as well as powers to improve:
- Transport
- Adults skills training
- Housing
- The environment
Devolution proposals would also mean we could take action to improve our local economy to encourage the creation of good quality jobs that give people a decent standard of living and a better quality of life.
Devolution is a chance for everyone in our region to have a much greater say over issues that affect them, including by directly electing the first regional mayor, so more decisions about our area are made in our area.
