Mobile Library
The mobile library van will visit the village on Monday 28th November, stopping at all the usual places.
Sutton and Barnby Moor Gardening Club
The next meeting of the gardening club will be held on Tuesday 6th December and will be a Christmas workshop. Further details available from gardeningclub@suttoncumlound.net

Parish Council Meeting
The next meeting of the council will be held on Wednesday 14th December at the usual time of 7:00pm in the Village Hall.
Parish Councillor Vacancies
The Parish Council have a number of vacancies and would like to co-opt new councillors as soon as possible. If you are interested in joining the Council and serving your community, then please contact the Clerk to the Council for further information.
St Bartholomew’s Church
Church Service
A “Worship for All” service took place at the local church on Sunday 20th November 2022.
Will worshippers please note that Bishop Paul will be in attendance on Advent Sunday, 27th November to take the Advent Holy Communion service. You are invited to come and join in this service, which commences at the usual time of 9:30am.
Church Notices for November and December
The church is entering into a period of high activity with the Christmas Tree Festival and the visitation of Bishop Paul of Southwell on 27th November. There is also renewed interest from the church school, who are bringing the children to celebrate their Harvest Festival on 22nd November. They are also coming to church to celebrate their Nativity Services on the 13th and 15th December, immediately following the Christmas Tree Festival. A number of volunteers will be required over this period, if you can help please contact the church wardens.
Volunteers are also required for leaflet distribution in the village, informing residents of the Christmas Tree Festival and events at all the services at Christmas.
Meet the Neighbours
There was no meeting of the Neighbours group in November, but they are planning a get-together in December.
Sutton and Barnby Moor W.I.
At their meeting on Wednesday 16th November, the local association invited members from three other W.I.’s to join them in experiencing a ”Gong Bath and Submersive Relaxation Technique” with no water involved! A group of 25 ladies armed with Yoga mats, pillows and blankets took part. All were given eye masks to help with relaxation, and after 45 minutes members slowly emerged fully relaxed.
Refreshments were served, and the official business was then conducted, during which Christmas Party details were given out.
Post Office
The Post Office will operate in the Village Hall on Wednesdays from 10:00am to 12:30pm. Please call in and support this local facility.
