Meet The Neighbours

Unfortunately, Meet The Neighbours will NOT be taking place on Monday 3 April due to other commitments for the Village Hall Committee. However, Lynne Tweed looks forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 17 April for the usual informal drop-in event 1:00pm to 3:00pm. This event will normally take place on the first and third Monday of each month in the Village Hall to provide an opportunity to come to our welcoming space and enjoy a change of scenery whilst chatting with friends old and new, enjoying a drink and a piece of cake, using the Wi-Fi if working from home, challenging yourself with our newly purchased games, or taking a breather before the school run!

No booking required – just come along and join in!

Comedy Night

Tickets are still available for Comedy Night taking place on Friday, 28 April in the Village Hall. Tickets are £20.00, in advance and include pie and pea supper.

Parish Lunches

Are you interested in restarting our Parish Lunches? As the Gate Inn is now closed, it has been suggested that the group try the Blue Bell Inn at Lound. If you have any ideas on the matter please contact Joan Herrington or Janet Webb with your thoughts with regard to day, dates, times etc. You are invited to come along and join the fellowship and help the building fund.

Annual Spring Clean

The village, once again, took part in the Annual Spring Clean on Saturday, 25 March. A team of 14 volunteers tackled Sutton Lane, Mattersey Road and Lound Low Road and managed to collect a staggering 18 bags of waste from these 3 areas, including a large number of wine bottles. Thank you to the team for their efforts.
