BASSETLAW NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

For the past 20 years Terry and Judith Reynolds have chaired both the Bassetlaw, and Newark and Sherwood Neighbourhood Watch  Associations. Through age and ill health they and their committeeintend to retire in June, but typical of their community spiritthey would prefer to see a new Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Watchrepresenting the District.

To this end, a meeting has been called for Watch members at Retford Town Hall at 7:00pm on Wednesday 15 May 2013 to be chaired by Chief Superintendent Ak Khan, Divisional Commander at Nottinghamshire Police.

Chief Supt Khan said: “I share with Terry and Judith a firm commitment to Neighbourhood Watch throughout the county. Their commitment has been second to none and we, the Police, recognised this earlier this year when Sue Fish, the Assistant Chief Constable, visited them and presented them with the Police Community Award. Knowing Terry and Judith, however, the best reward will be to create a new group to carry on Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Watch.”
