Were you near the recreation ground in Retford on the evening of Saturday 6 July 2013? You may be able to help Police with the investigation into an assault.
A 17-year-old was walking in the field which runs along the side of Leverton Road and the canal at about 8:30pm.
As she neared the entrance at Raglan Road an unknown offender grabbed her and pinned her to the floor.
The teenager’s screams frightened the man away and although she was not hurt she is extremely shaken by the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, heard screams or who has any information about it to contact them.
The offender is white, in his 30s and about 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a black hooded top and jogging bottoms.
If you have any information contact PC James Pickersgill, of Harworth Police Station, on 101 extension 807 7373 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
