GARDENING CLUB
Final reminder that there is no meeting of the club for the month of August at Barnby Moor village hall.
On the due date the club will be having an “away day” for which an outing to Harlow Car has been arranged. The trip to Harlow Carr-a 29 seater coach has now been booked and confirmed for Tuesday 6th August 2019, and Harlow Carr’s meet and greet team know to expect us on the day. There is a Betty’s café on site and gift shops in addition to the gardens, the coach will leave Kettlewells at 9:00am sharp on 6th August. There is car parking on site so please ensure you arrive at 8:45am. The address for parking is: Grove Street, Retford, DN22 6LA. Those in need of a lift/ car share please let the chair know ASAP.

AT THE CREASE
Will you be there, at the annual cricket match at Barnby Moor? The annual cricket match between The White Horse Public House and Ye Olde Bell Hotel will be held on Sunday the 18th August 2019 in Barnby Moor playing field starting at about 3:30pm. Who will you support? This is a fun event so why not bring a picnic and make it enjoyable family afternoon. It’s a date for your diary – don’t miss it.
CHURCH SERVICE
On Sunday 28th July (sixth Sunday after Trinity) the service was “Worship for All” and commenced at the later time of 4:00pm. The service was led by the Rev.d Cora Yarrien. Gospel readings were read by Janet Webb. Prayers by the Rev.d Cora. Organist: Geof Webb.
QUIZ NIGHT
The quiz continues to take place in the Village Hall every Sunday night, £1.00 entry per person which is paid back as prize money! The bigger the crowd – the bigger the prize! New contestants always welcome. 8:00pm start and bar open.

We’re also lucky to have a village Journalist who collates news and updates for the Retford Times on a weekly basis. Get your copy in on Monday morning for the Thursday issue.
